Requirements to access translation services

In order to contract translation services you must take into account a series of requirements. On the one hand, the advance notice for the normal contracted service must arrive two weeks early, which means due to the agency's usual workload, we need two weeks to assign your project into our work schedule. If you contract an EXPRESS service we will start working on your project within 24 hours for which you will need to pay an extra cost.

For the aspect of file formats, we can work with various formats (PDF, PPT or HTML) from source documents but it’s best for us to receive the files in TXT, RTF or a word processor format such as DOC or ODT. Although we can work directly with the source document file type this is not recommended as there is no guarantee that the translated text will fit perfectly in the same space as the original document occupied and you might need to make some extra adjustments. The space occupied by texts can vary considerably from one language to another, for example, with respect to a text in English, the same text in Spanish will occupy between 10% and 20% more and the same text in German will occupy between 20% and 30% more.

We recommend you to send us the files in text formats and we will return the translated text to you in the same format, so that you can handle the plain text without problems as it lacks a direct format and you can work (edit) with it in any programme.
